TRAINING VENUES
Three conservation areas were carefully selected to offer diverse terrains for developing a range of navigational skills, as well as to protect a rich variety of biodiversity, particularly species that are highly vulnerable to poaching and require concerted conservation efforts.
These areas are situated relatively close to one another within Limpopo Province, one of the regions in South Africa with the highest incidences of poaching, driven by demand for traditional medicines in both Chinese and local cultures, as well as traditional religious purposes.
Two of the properties are located in the Soutpansberg range. One lies at the summit of the mountains in the Northern Mistbelt, while the other is situated at the base of the Western slopes in the Kalahari Sweet Bushveld.
The third property is nestled within the Waterberg Biosphere, a region defined by its dramatic escarpment of massive sandstone buttresses and outcrops.
